Adrianne C. Kroepsch

Assistant Professor, Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences

Adrianne KroepschI am an Assistant Professor in the Division of Liberal Arts & International Studies at the Colorado School of Mines.  I study environmental governance in the American West and have active research projects on water, unconventional oil and gas, and wildfire.

I have a PhD in Environmental Studies from the University of Colorado with an emphasis on environmental policy and theory.

While at the University of Colorado, I also earned a masters degree from the Geography Department, where I was trained in hydrology and water policy.

During my time at C.U., I was also very fortunate to serve as an Instructor and Research Assistant at the Center of the American West, a hub for research, teaching, and inclusive public dialog on contentious regional issues.

Before graduate school I worked as a journalist covering science and technology policy, primarily at Congressional Quarterly in Washington, D.C.

My undergraduate degree is in Science and Technology Studies from Cornell University, with an emphasis on science communication.
